How did Stephen Colbert get an iPad? Read on…
Tonight during a live television broadcast of the 52nd Grammy Awards on CBS, Stephen Colbert, the host of The Colbert Report on Comedy Central, whipped out a spanking new Apple iPad to read out the nominees for best song. He bragged that even Jay-Z didn’t get one in his gift bag. When we last saw Colbert he was pleading for an iPad during the intro of the January 27th episode of the Colbert Report. Wether this is promotional genius from Apple or Steven Jobs is a fan of Stephen Colbert (they have the Steven-Stephen connection), it sure was nice to see the iPad being used in a somewhat practical situation. That is, if you consider a device to keep track of the nominees you must read at the Grammy’s practical.
